Hamburg
 Hamburg, with over two million residents,
lays claim to being Germany's second largest city and one of
Europe's busiest ports. The later fact being even more amazing
when one consults a map and finds Hamburg an inland port situated
along the Elbe River-some 50 miles from the shipping lanes of
the North Sea! Hamburg's Rathaus (city hall) ranks as one of
the most impressive I've seen in Europe. Built in the 19th century
and holding court in the center of the city, the magnificent
structure contains 647 rooms.
