Liechtensteinische
Landesbank AG
Founded in 1861, Liechtensteinische Landesbank with $23 billion
in assets under management, gets bragging rights to calling itself
the oldest bank in Liechtenstein. Like the other two banks visited,
its head office straddles the main (and only) thoroughfare through
downtown Vaduz.
The head office is a six-story building built in the 1950's and
added on to in 1996. Cyrill Sele, General Secretary, answers
my questions. About 120 employees work here. Employees have to
pay for parking, it's three minutes to the nearest freeway, smoking
isn't allowed in the offices and the company's art collection
is described as "modern". I can't see CEO Josef Fehr's
fifth floor office because "he's busy". The oval-shaped
table in the boardroom seats 16 and I count one real plant. Any
employee discounts? On home loans employees enjoy a ½%
discount and a ½% more on deposits.
