Thought it would be fun visiting Emmi Schweiz, Switzerland's biggest dairy group with $808 million in revenues and 1,400 employees, but it comes up well short. Headquarters stands several blocks from Lucerne main train station. The small lobby of the seven-story turn-of-the-century brick building contains several glass display cases showing the company's various products. I've become pretty fond of their yogurt. Heck, you can even buy their cheese in the USA.

The secretary to CEO Fritz Wyss tells me via the receptionist's phone that they hadn't received my letter and no one has time to meet with me-even if I came back tomorrow. Not much flexibility here.
